STEEL STUD FRAMER – CARPENTRY NOC 72310 Employer: Business address: Unit 107, 1222 Alberta Avenue, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan S7K 1R4 Work location: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Vacancies: 1 Employment type: Permanent, full-time Wage: $35.00 per hour Hours: 40 hours per week Schedule: Early morning, morning and daytime shifts Start date: As soon as possible Language of work: English MAIN DUTIES • Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine framing requirements. • Prepare layouts and mark wall positions according to drawings and building codes. • Measure, cut and assemble lightweight steel studs, tracks and related framing materials. • Install steel stud walls, partitions and framing around door and window openings. • Install backing, blocking and supports where required. • Check framing for proper spacing, alignment and level, and make necessary adjustments. • Repair or replace damaged steel stud framing and related carpentry components during renovation work. • Estimate the quantity of steel studs, tracks and other framing materials required from project drawings. • Coordinate framing work with other workers on site and follow workplace safety procedures. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE • Secondary school graduation certificate. • Two years to less than three years of relevant work experience. • Experience using hand tools and framing equipment. OTHER REQUIREMENTS • Personal protective equipment training. • Occupational Health and Safety Certificate. • Criminal record check. • Ability to perform physically demanding work and work as part of a team.
