Long haul truck driver.

Responsibilities: Address customers’ complaints or concerns Professionalism in customer service Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy Load and unload goods Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment Perform brake adjustments Perform emergency roadside repairs Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle Receive and relay information to central dispatch Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo Vacancies: 2 positions Credentials: Minimum high school graduation Air Brake (Z) Endorsement Commercial Vehicle Operator’s Registration (CVOR) Certificate Driver’s License (Class 1 or A) Experience and specialization: At least 5 years of relevant work experience in long-haul truck driving Documentation knowledge Accident or incident reports Bill of lading Driver logbook Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip) Maintenance and repair reports Trans-border documentation Trip reports Type of trucking and equipment: Straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles) Tractor-trailer Cargo specialties: Fish and seafood Transportation/travel experience: International Long-haul Air Cargo security program Language required: English Additional information: Security and safety Valid passport Driver’s validity licence check Transportation/travel information: Valid driver’s licence Willing to travel cross-border Willing to travel for extended periods Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail Handling heavy loads Physically demanding Own tools/equipment Cellular phone Benefits: Mileage paid Piece work Free parking available Paid time off (volunteering or personal days) Please send your resume to igloorecruit@gmail.com.
