Denco Construction is looking for a motivated and reliable Apprentice Carpenter - NOC73210 - to join our construction team in the Moncton area. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced carpenters and construction professionals, assisting with a variety of residential and commercial construction projects while developing practical carpentry skills. Key Responsibilities: - Assist experienced carpenters with daily construction and renovation activities. - Measure, cut, prepare, and install lumber and other building materials. - Assist with framing walls, floors, roofs, and other structural components. - Help install doors, windows, trim, flooring, and other finishing materials. - Read and follow basic construction drawings, measurements, and layout instructions. - Prepare and organize tools, equipment, and materials. - Operate hand tools and power tools safely under appropriate supervision. - Load, unload, and transport construction materials. - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. - Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and instructions. Qualifications and Requirements - Minimum of one year of experience in the construction industry is required. - Basic knowledge of carpentry, construction tools, and building materials. - Ability to read measurements and perform basic mathematical calculations. - Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team. - Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn. - Good communication and problem-solving skills. - Commitment to workplace safety. - Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying construction materials. - Reliable transportation to and from construction job sites. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions - Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work for extended periods. - Ability to lift and carry construction materials and equipment. - Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors, depending on project requirements. - Ability to work in varying weather conditions. - Comfortable working on active construction sites and around construction equipment.
