Sehmi Japanese Restaurant in Port Alberni, BC is looking for a Restaurant Manager to work with our team. Title: Restaurant Manager Opening: 1 position (Permanent, Full-time) Salary: CAD 37.00 – 39.00 per hour Working Hours: At least 30 hours per week Benefit: 4% of gross pay or 10 days of paid vacation Location: 2404 Timberlane Road, Port Alberni, BC V9Y 8P2 Qualifications: - At least 3 years of supervisory experience in restaurant management - Post-secondary education in hospitality or food and beverage service management is required Main Duties: - Prepare operating budgets and monitor food, beverage, and supply costs to ensure profitability - Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations and assess performance against business goals - Supervise restaurant staff and assign duties to ensure smooth daily service - Provide onboarding training for new and existing employees - Establish service standards and operating procedures for the dining room and kitchen team - Manage inventory, place orders, and maintain accurate stock records - Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and occupational health regulations - Build and maintain relationships with food, beverage, and equipment suppliers - Coordinate with customers for private bookings, group reservations, and catering requests - Respond to customer feedback and resolve service issues promptly and professionally How to apply: Please send your resume to hr.sehmirestaurant@hotmail.com
