LA FORET ROYAL OAK BAKERY CORP in Burnaby, BC is looking for a Pastry Chef to work with our team. Title: Pastry Chef Opening: 1 position (Permanent, Full-time) Salary: CAD 37.00 – CAD 39.00 per hour, At least 30 hours per week Benefit: 4% of gross pay or 10 days of paid vacation, extended health and dental benefits after 6 months of employment Location: 6958 Palm ave, Burnaby, British Columbia, V5J 4M3 Requirements: • Graduation of secondary school is required. • 3-5 years in a supervisory role, with experience as a pastry chef and cake decorating. Main Duties: • Estimate the amount and costs of supplies and food items required for pastry production • Demonstrate new cooking and baking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff • Supervise activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers • Instruct cooks in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food • Plan menus and ensure all food items meet quality standards • Prepare pastry for special occasions, such as weddings and birthdays • Perform cake decorating for custom orders and seasonal menu items How to apply: Please send your resume to hr.cafelaforet@gmail.com
