Live-in Caregiver - Persons with Disabilities.

Seeking a Dedicated and Compassionate Female Live-In Caregiver We are looking for a dedicated, compassionate, patient, and caring female live-in caregiver to provide full-time support and assistance to our 16-year-old son, Julian, who has a disability and requires comprehensive personal care and daily support. Julian has a chromosomal translocation and autism. He is non-verbal and unable to walk independently and therefore requires assistance with his daily personal care and activities. He is not medically fragile and eats a regular diet; however, he requires assistance with feeding. The ideal caregiver will be compassionate, patient, attentive, and comfortable providing hands-on personal care while ensuring Julian’s safety, comfort, dignity, and emotional well-being. Terms of Employment Employment: Permanent, full-time Language: English Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience Experience: 1 to less than 7 months Work Setting: Employer’s private home, Room and board provided Main Responsibilities Administer bedside and personal care Administer medications Assist clients in water (i.e. pool) Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene Feed or assist in feeding Launder clothing and household linens Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties Plan therapeutic diets and menus Provide companionship Provide personal care Prepare and serve nutritious meals Credentials Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses CPR Certificate First Aid Certificate Experience and specialization Target audience Over 12 years Persons with physical disabilities Experience with special needs children Assistance with mobility Weight handling Between 61 and 80 kg (133-176 lbs) Security and Safety Criminal record check required Reference required
