Workplace information: On site (work must be completed at the physical location; no remote work option) Salary: $32.00 hourly Hours: 35 hours per week Terms of employment: Permanent, Full-time Start date: As soon as possible Vacancies: 2 Job Overview: Language Requirement: • English Education / Experience: • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience Responsibilities and Duties: • Review project drawings, measurements and work instructions to determine insulation requirements and appropriate materials. • Measure work areas and cut fiberglass, foam and other insulation materials to the required dimensions using hand and power tools. • Install various types of insulation using methods such as spraying, blowing, taping, fastening and strapping, according to project requirements. • Position and adjust insulation around pipes, ducts, openings and other building features to ensure proper coverage. • Place insulation between wall studs, floor and ceiling joists, and other confined spaces, securing the material firmly in place. • Install vapour barriers and seal joints, gaps and openings to provide proper moisture and air protection. • Apply protective coatings, sealants or finishing materials over insulation. • Remove old or damaged insulation during renovation and replacement projects and prepare work areas for new insulation.
