Ceilidh Country Lodge is seeking a dependable, organized, and client-focused Front Desk Hotel Clerk to join our team in Baddeck, Nova Scotia. Position Details: Hours: 35.00 hours per week (Permanent, Full-Time) Shifts: Early morning, Morning, Evening, Night Wage: $31.96 to $32.96 hourly (To be negotiated) Location: On site (Baddeck, NS B0E 1B0) Start Date: As soon as possible Vacancies: 1 Responsibilities: Register arriving guests, assign rooms, and process group arrivals and departures. Take, cancel, and modify room reservations. Maintain an active inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments. Provide guests with information regarding hotel facilities, services, and local attractions/points of interest. Process guest departures, calculate charges, receive payments, balance cash, and complete balance sheets and daily cash reports. Follow all emergency, safety, and security procedures. Answer telephone inquiries, relay messages, and deliver requested wake-up calls. Assist clients and guests with special needs. Perform clerical support duties (photocopying, faxing, filing). Perform light housekeeping and lobby cleaning duties as needed. Requirements & Qualifications: Language: English Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant customer service or front desk experience. Work Conditions: Ability to stand for extended periods, strong attention to detail, and ability to handle high-pressure situations efficiently.
