Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Assistant Employer: Two Peas in a Pod Childcare Centre Inc Location: 410 Wiltse Blvd, Penticton, BC, V2A 7V8. Workplace information: On site (work must be completed at the physical location; no remote work option) Salary: $22.60 hourly Hours: 35 hours per week Terms of employment: Permanent, Full-time Start date: As soon as possible Vacancies: 1 Language Requirement: • English Education: • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. Experience: • Minimum 7 months of experience is required. Responsibilities and Duties: • Assist early childhood educators in implementing programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. • Engage children in age-appropriate activities such as storytelling, singing songs, games, and creative arts and crafts. • Support educators in maintaining daily records, attendance, and progress notes. • Assist in planning and organizing daily activities and learning schedules. • Change diapers and keep infants and toddlers clean and comfortable. • Attend staff meetings to discuss children’s development, progress, and any concerns. • Assist children with eating, dressing, toileting, and maintaining proper hygiene. • Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive learning environment at all times.
