THE FLATS Cook Permanent, full-time opportunity in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan Employer THE FLATS Location 930 Main Street North, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 3K7 Wage $17.00 per hour Hours 40 hours per week Employment Permanent, full time; on-site work only Schedule Early morning, morning, day, evening and weekend shifts Start date As soon as possible Vacancies 1 position Requirements • Language: English • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years • Work setting: Restaurant and bar • Food Safety Certificate • Cuisine specialties: Canadian and international • Criminal record check Key responsibilities • Determine appropriate food portion sizes and related costs. • Plan menus and estimate the food requirements needed to prepare them. • Prepare and cook complete meals, individual dishes and other foods. • Prepare suitable dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances. • Inspect kitchen and food-service areas to ensure proper standards are maintained. • Train staff in food preparation, cooking and safe food-handling practices. • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers. • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment. • Clean the kitchen and work areas.
