Responsibilities: Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef Inspect kitchens and food service areas Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food Supervise kitchen staff and helpers Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment Clean kitchen and work areas Manage kitchen operations Salary: $ 18 – 23/ hour for 30 – 40 hours/ Week Required skills: At least 3 years of relevant work experience Education Requirement: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Languages: English Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment Physically demanding Repetitive tasks Work under pressure Personal suitability: Dependability Organized Time management Benefits: Gratuities Learning/training paid by employer Paid time off (volunteering or personal days) Parking available Do not apply if you are not authorized to work in Canada.
