Child caregiver - private home.

We are looking for a reliable and caring Child Caregiver – Private Home to provide full-time care for one child at the employer’s residence in Edmonton, Alberta. This is a permanent, full-time position for 35 hours per week at $20.00 per hour. Job duties: • Supervise and care for the child; • Discipline the child according to the methods requested by the parents; • Instruct the child in personal hygiene and social development; • Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding the child; • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home; • Prepare and serve nutritious meals for the child; • Take the child to and from school and to appointments; • Tend to the emotional well-being of the child; • Travel with the family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties; • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties related to the child’s care activities. Employment requirements: • Secondary school graduation certificate; • Experience caring for children with autism is an asset; • Valid First Aid and CPR certificates; • Valid driver’s licence; • Criminal record check; • Ability to communicate in English; • Must be comfortable working in a non-smoking environment.
