PRODUCTION AND QUALITY CONTROL TECHNOLOGIST Employer: FASTSIGNS Location: 615 35th Ave NE Calgary, AB T2E 2L2 Work location: On site; Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely. Salary: $39.00 hourly / 40 hours per week Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time, Day Starts: As soon as possible Vacancies: 1 Languages: English Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years Tasks: • Develop and conduct production, inventory and quality assurance programs • Develop work study • Oversee production • Set machine or equipment controls • Design plant layouts and production facilities • Conduct work measurement or other studies • Develop computer applications for machines and processes • Collect and compile operational or experimental data • Collect and analyze data and samples • Develop manufacturing and processing procedures • Assist in preparing estimates, schedules, specifications and reports • Read blueprints and drawings Experience and specialization: Computer and technology knowledge • Web service design • Computer-aided design (CAD) • AutoCAD • MS Excel • MS Outlook • MS PowerPoint • MS Project • MS Word • MS Windows • Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines Area of work experience: Fabrication Area of specialization: • Development of production processes • Development of quality assurance programs • Work planning, estimating, measuring and scheduling Security and safety: Basic security clearance Transportation/travel information: Public transportation is available Work conditions and physical capabilities: • Fast-paced environment • Work under pressure • Tight deadlines • Attention to detail • Sitting • Combination of sitting, standing, walking • Standing for extended periods Personal suitability: • Client focus • Efficient interpersonal skills • Excellent oral communication • Excellent written communication • Flexibility • Initiative • Organized • Team player • Values and ethics Benefits: WCB, Transportation provided by employer, Parking available You can apply if you are: • a Canadian citizen • a permanent resident of Canada • a temporary resident of Canada with a valid work permit • Do not apply if you are not authorized to work in Canada.
