Job Description
NPN construction company based in Halifax, NS. We service all construction needs – as simple as small kitchen remodelling or painting a room to a complete renovation project. As local remodelling constructors, we accommodate any size job, from small private apartments to new development projects and commercial spaces. We work with many contractors, interior designers, architects and homeowners to fulfil their construction needs. We are now looking for a cabinet maker to join our team. Job duties: 1.Read and interpret drawings and specifications and prepare cut lists. 2.Build, manage and assemble custom millwork, furniture, kitchens and vanities. 3.Plan and manage production tasks to make efficient use of time and equipment. 4.Set up and operate production equipment to produce components according to drawings. 5.Work with different materials including engineered wood products, veneers and fine hardwoods. 6.Verify compliance of produced components with design documents. 7.Assemble components into completed units using fasteners, adhesives, and joinery techniques. 8.Prepare surfaces for finishing department. 9.Work with other employees and participate in training apprentices. Wage: $24 – 26/ hour for at least 30 hours per week. Experience: At least 2 years of relevant work experience is required.
