Mine Floral Studio is specializing in floral design for your special occasions as well as weddings and different special events in the Greater Vancouver area. At 'Mine Floral Studio' we believe giving or receiving gifts of flowers should be sophisticated and stylish. Our florists provide top quality designs and a first-class experience for our customers. Originally based in Korea, we are now offering our products in Canada. Our flower designs are personally hand-made all originals by Mine florists. We are looking for someone well versed in current floral trends as we are a non-traditional floral studio really striving for unique designs. Job Position: Floral and Special Event Designer (NOC53124) Number of jobs opening: 1 Requirements: - 3 to 5 years of experience in floral design, wedding and corporate events planning - Candidate with formal florist training or certification is an asset - Knowledge of fresh floral product and design technique, floral processing, product, design and mechanics - Hard working and detail oriented - Flexibility to take on various shifts and available to work on weekends/evenings - Great team player - Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume production environment - Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts and clients - Ability to communicate in English Job Duties & Responsibilities: - Design floral arrangements in various types of containers, i.e., vases, urns, client's containers, baskets, etc - Make traditional corsages, bouquets, wreaths, and centerpieces, as well as other kinds of original designs. - Discuss types of flowers and design to be used with clients for weddings and corporate events - Process orders per company guidelines - Assist in workplace cleanliness, keeping the workplace clean, free of debris and safe for all employees and clients - Be available for brainstorming creative and original designs - Work with a wide range of foliage and flowers - Have knowledge on processing flowers correctly and efficiently - Other duties as needed Compensation: $23/hour with 2 weeks of annual vacation Work Hours: 30 to 40 hrs/week by shifts Please email your resume or apply in person if you are interested to join our fast-growing team https://minefloral.com minefloralcareer@gmail.com Address: 1103-8700 McKim Way, Richmond, BC, V6X 4A5 Tel: 604-728-6276
