Overview Languages English Education Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience Experience 7 months to less than 1 year On site Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely. Work site environment Outdoors Cold/refrigerated Hot Responsibilities Tasks Attend to gas escape calls Install gas heating units and their components Measure and mark reference points for installation of gas lines and equipment Service gas heating units and their components Install and maintain meters and regulators and gas lines between gas unit and gas meter Repair and service gas appliances and related equipment Advise clients regarding standards, safety features and maintenance of gas units and systems Test and adjust control mechanisms and check pipes and piping connections for gas leaks using gas detecting devices Test and replace defective equipment or components Interpret gas codes Handle, recover and store refrigerants Measure, cut and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment Start up system and test for leaks using testing devices Measure and lay out reference points for installation Provide customer service Troubleshoot heating systems Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components Credentials Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses Gas Fitter Certificate - Level 2 or B Location: Brampton, ON Salary 37.00 hourly / 32 hours per week Terms of employment Permanent employment Full time Starts as soon as possible vacancies: 1 vacancy
