Looking for Fruit & Vegetable Farm Supervisor (Farm Supervisor NOC 82030). We grow apple, peach and grapes, nectarine, green peppers, and garlic on our 80-acreage farm where dedicated Farm Supervisor is required This can be a two-years contract-based job. If moving from another place, we can provide accommodation at our separately build house at our farm. This job is full time, permanent (all season). Below are the job duties: -Provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying or harvesting ?Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety procedures ?Hire and train workers ?Negotiate the terms of services to be provided ?Maintain financial and operational records ?May participate in the provision of services or in the operation of machinery and equipment. ?Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers ?Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations ?Develop work schedules and establish procedures ?Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed ?Maintain quality control and production records ?May perform general farm duties. ?Farm supervisors may specialize in areas such as fruit, vegetable, mixed or other specialty farming. ?Follow safety and bio-security procedures ?Perform general farm duties Number of Vacancies: 2 Location: Keremeos, BC Language: English Company Name: Dhaliwal Vineyard First priority will be given to Canadian Citizens and PR's Students, visible minorities, indigenous people, youths, new comers to Canada are well come to apply Job is full time 35-40 hours per week (overtime may require during peak season) Wage: $21.00-23.00 per hours depends on the experience Secondary School diploma or Equivalent, one-two years supervisory experience in farming nature is required Basic Medical coverage and independent housing will be provided. Employer is willing to pay for moving cost. Job will be outdoors, long time standing, sitting and physical demanding, hot and cold will be part of the job.
