Location: 29 Westville Rd New Glasgow, NS B2H 2J2 Salary: $29.00 / hour Vacancy: 1 Start date: As soon as possible Employment groups: Indigenous people, Newcomers to Canada, Veterans, Visible minorities, Youth Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time 40 hours / week Employment conditions: Day, Evening, Morning Languages: English Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience: 1 years to less than 2 years Tasks: - Supervise and coordinate the activities of store staff, including sales associates, stock clerks, and customer service personnel, to ensure smooth daily operations. - Oversee inventory management, including stock replenishment, order tracking, and ensuring all merchandise is properly labeled, displayed, and stored according to company standards. - Ensure high standards of customer service by resolving customer complaints and inquiries efficiently, handling special orders, and ensuring an overall positive shopping experience. - Monitor sales performance and assist in meeting sales targets by motivating staff, analyzing sales trends, and implementing promotional strategies in coordination with management. - Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching to existing staff on product knowledge, sales techniques, store policies, and customer engagement standards. - Open and close the store as per the schedule, including handling cash, preparing daily sales summaries, and securing the premises at the end of the day. - Assist in scheduling staff shifts and managing work hours to ensure optimal staffing levels during peak and off-peak hours while maintaining labour cost efficiency. - Maintain visual merchandising standards by organizing store layout, rearranging displays based on season or promotions, and ensuring cleanliness and organization. - Conduct regular checks on store equipment, displays, and safety procedures to ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations. - Collaborate with the store manager or owner to provide feedback, implement business strategies, and support overall store performance and customer satisfaction goals.
