Job Description
H. Hans Trucking Ltd. is looking for a highly motivated and energetic individual to work as Truck-trailer mechanic (NOC-72410). for mobile roadside repair services (drive to the truck breakdown location or in the trucking yard for repairs). The main duties of these positions are: • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems including chassis, frame, cab, body, engine and drive train, air brakes, steering, and fuel, hydraulic, electrical and electronic systems • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems including structural, brake and electrical systems. • Inspect trucks in operation, road test them, and test automotive systems and components using computerized diagnostic and other testing devices to diagnose and isolate faults • Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups including roadside repairs • Work under a certified red seal mechanic and complete reports to record problems and work performed. Employment requirements • Completion of secondary school and training courses or a vocational program of automobile mechanic are usually required. • Completion of an automotive service technician apprenticeship program or a combination of education and work experience Who can Apply: Preference will be given to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residences People who can legally work in Canada are welcome to apply • Vacancies: 1 • Position Type: Permanent Full-time (35-40 hours per week) • Salary: 36.65 per hour ($63,700-$72,800) • Language: English Benefits: 10 days of paid vacation or 4% of your gross salary, basic medical coverage until covered by the provincial medical plan (for TFWs). Moving allowance if moving outside 20Km radius and all other benefits according to BC Work Standards Act.
