Job Description
Rocket Trucking Inc. is a well-established Long-haul Trucking company based of Abbotsford, BC. We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic individual to work as a Truck Mechanic Helper (NOC-75119) for our repair shed in truck yard and mobile (roadside services) services. The main duties of these positions are: • Assist the mechanic in repair shop and accompany the mechanic in roadside repair services. • Move tools, equipment and other materials to and from work areas, clean the tools and put them back to their designated places • Assist in repairing, maintaining and installing parts and accessories • Assist in mechanical, electrical, tire replacement and body repairs of trucks and trailers • Clean up the work area and maintain tool organization • Help loading and unloading service parts • Assist the mechanic in pre and post inspection as directed by the mechanic • Perform other labouring and elemental tasks as required. Employment requirements • Some secondary school education is required. • On-the-job training is provided. Who can Apply: Preference will be given to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residences People who can legally work in Canada are welcome to apply • Vacancies: 1 • Position Type: Permanent Full-time (35-40 hours per week) • Salary: 24.00 per hour ($39,130-$44, 20) • Language: English Benefits: 10 days of paid vacation (4%), basic medical coverage until covered by the provincial medical plan (for TFWs). Moving allowance if moving outside 20Km radius and all other benefits according to BC Work Standards Act.
