Job Description

Trans Tech Truck Repairs is seeking a reliable and punctual Apprentice Mechanic – Trucks and Transport Vehicles to join our workshop in Brampton, Ontario. The selected candidate will assist with the inspection, maintenance, repair, and servicing of commercial transport trucks under supervision. This is an on-site position and the work must be performed at the employer’s physical workshop location. There is no option to work remotely. Job Type: Permanent, Full-time Wage: $36.00 per hour Hours: 40 hours per week Schedule: Day shifts and weekends as required Number of Vacancies: 1 Start Date: As soon as possible Main Duties and Responsibilities: -Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems -Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit -Discuss work with supervisor -Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions -Review work orders -Perform scheduled maintenance service -Test and adjust units to specifications -Complete reports to record problems and work performed -Provide customer service Employment Requirements -Secondary school graduation certificate is required; -Previous experience is not required; training will be provided; -Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn are required; -Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision; -Must be able to work on site at the employer’s workshop. Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities -Attention to detail; -Ability to work in a workshop environment; -Ability to perform physical tasks related to truck repair and maintenance; -Ability to work days and weekends as required. Own Tools and Equipment -Steel-toed safety boots are required.
