Home Location: Vancouver, BC (Ross St & 57th Ave) Job Title: Home Care Worker – Private Home (Multi-Child Care including Autism Support) Job Summary Provide full-time in-home care and developmental support for three young children, including one child diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, and a newborn expected. The role requires structured caregiving, behavioral support, and maintaining a consistent routine in a private home environment. Positions Available: One (1) Terms of Employment • Permanent, Full-Time • 40 hours per week • Overtime may be required in accordance with BC Employment Standards Wage: $24.50/hour Start Date: As soon as possible Education: Secondary school required Experience: • Minimum 1 year of experience in childcare, home support, or related field • Experience supporting children with special needs (e.g., autism) is a strong asset • Background in social work, early childhood education, or behavioral support preferred Work Setting: Employer’s private residence Children in Care: • Three children (including one with autism spectrum disorder) • Newborn expected Main Responsibilities Childcare & Daily Living Support • Supervise and care for children in the employer’s home • Bathe, dress, and feed children, including infant care • Prepare and serve nutritious meals • Maintain hygiene routines (diapering, sterilization of feeding equipment) ? Developmental & Behavioural Support • Support structured routines for a child with autism • Reinforce behavioural strategies as guided by parents or professionals • Promote social, emotional, and communication development • Monitor and document daily activities and developmental progress Household & Safety • Maintain a safe and healthy home environment • Perform light housekeeping related to children’s care • Organize age-appropriate activities and outings Coordination • Communicate regularly with parents regarding children’s needs • Accompany children to appointments or activities when required Work Schedule • 8 hours per day, 5 days per week • Overtime compensated as per BC Employment Standards • Occasional extended hours may be required due to childcare needs Living Arrangements • Optional live-in arrangement available • Private room and amenities provided • Live-in is not a condition of employment Language: English Important Note: This position is open to Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and foreign workers who are legally authorized to work in Canada.
