Gurcharan Chawla is currently looking for a Family caregiver for a female senior. Candidate is required to work in employer’s home, but there is no live-in requirement. We offer: • Vacancy: 1 • Salary: $21.00 per hour • Hours: 30 - 35 hours per week Terms of employment: • Full time, permanent position • Job start date: As son as possible • Employment conditions: Evening, Flexible hours, Morning, Day, Weekend • Employment location: Edmonton, AB, T6L 1M5 Duties and responsibilities: • Support the senior with mobility, including safe transfers between bed, chair, and other areas of the home • Provide assistance with bathing, toileting, dressing, and daily hygiene routines • Assist with meals, including preparation, serving, and feeding support when necessary • Ensure medications are taken correctly and on schedule, including direct assistance when required • Encourage and assist with light physical activity such as walking or prescribed exercises • Observe and document changes in physical condition, mood, or behaviour and report concerns promptly • Maintain a clean and organized living environment, including laundry, linen changes, and light household tasks • Provide attentive companionship and emotional support throughout the day • Ensure safety and supervision inside and outside the home • Accompany the senior to medical appointments or community activities as needed • Follow and maintain the established daily care plan and routine Qualifications and Skills: • Must be able to communicate in English • Candidate’s level of English must be sufficient to contact emergency services if required and to understand labels on medication. • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in related occupation/field • Non smoking work environment Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling; Combination of sitting, standing, walking; Repetitive tasks Personal suitability: Punctuality; Client focus; Dependability; Efficient interpersonal skills; Excellent oral communication; Flexibility; Organized; Reliability; Patience Target Audience: Elderly, Females, Persons with physical disabilities If this sounds like the perfect fit for you, then don't delay -- apply today!
