Job Description: Employer: Golden Home Caregivers Corporation Job Posting: Patient Care Aide # of openings: 2 Language: English Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year On Site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely. Work Setting: Home Care and visiting care agency Various locations Work in employer’s/client’s home Job Responsibilities: Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities Perform other duties related to patient care and comfort Perform other duties related to personal care Take patients' blood pressure, temperature and pulse Weigh, lift, turn and position patients Supervise patients' exercise routines Bathe, dress and groom patients Transport patients between care facilities Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher Collect specimens Administer first aid in emergency situations Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment Work under pressure Repetitive tasks Physically demanding Manual dexterity Attention to detail Ability to distinguish between colours Standing for extended periods Combination of sitting, standing, walking Bending, crouching, kneeling Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 Lbs) Personal Suitability: Client focus Dependability Efficient interpersonal skills Excellent oral communication Flexibility Interpersonal awareness Judgement Organized Reliability Patience How to apply: By email: alfredo.clado@goldenhomecaregivers.ca
