Job Title: Kitchen Helper (NOC 65201) Company: THE FLATS EATERY + DRINK Location: 220 1175 Nicholson Road, Estevan, SK, S4A 2S7 Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Salary: $15.50 per hour Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week Work Schedule: Day, Evening, Morning, Night, Weekend Start Date: As soon as possible Vacancies: 1 Job Overview: The Flats Eatery & Drink is seeking a dedicated and experienced kitchen helper to join our team in Estevan, Saskatchewan. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining kitchen standards and supporting overall kitchen operations. Responsibilities: • Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts and waste disposal units • Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs • Load buspans and trays • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and flatware • Place dishes in storage area • Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas • Package take-out food • Portion and wrap foods • Prepare, heat and finish simple food items • Stock refrigerators and salad bars • Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs • Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment • Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas • Remove kitchen garbage and trash • Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit Job Requirements • Language: English • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years • Certificates: Safe Food Handling Certificate Personal Suitability: • Positive attitude • Team player • Ability to multitask • Willingness to work in a physically demanding and fast-paced environment Security and Safety • Criminal record check may be required Work Conditions: • Must work on-site at the restaurant • Repetitive tasks and standing for extended periods • Shift work, including weekends and holidays, may be required Who Can Apply • Canadian citizens • Permanent residents of Canada • Temporary residents with a valid Canadian work permit ??
