We are seeking compassionate Residential Support Workers to join our team in Fort Assiniboine, AB. This role involves supporting children and individuals with intellectual, learning, mental health, and physical disabilities in group homes and supportive living environments. The position focuses on promoting independence, safety, and overall well-being. Permanent, Full-time (30hr/week). Tasks Supervise and provide guidance to support staff, ensuring duties are carried out effectively, policies are followed, and clients receive consistent, high-quality care and support. Perform a range of administrative duties, including maintaining accurate client records, preparing reports, documenting incidents, and updating case files in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards. Assess clients’ strengths, life skills, behavioral patterns, and developmental needs through observation, interviews, and structured assessment tools to support individualized care planning. Conduct regular follow-up assessments to monitor client progress, evaluate goal achievement, and adjust support plans as needed to promote continued growth and stability. Perform light housekeeping duties within the residence, including maintaining clean common areas, supporting clients in completing household chores, and ensuring a safe and organized living environment. Resolve conflict situations between clients using de-escalation techniques, mediation strategies, and trauma-informed approaches to maintain a respectful and supportive atmosphere. Supervise the daily activities of clients living in group homes or halfway houses, ensuring compliance with house rules, promoting positive behavior, and fostering independent living skills. Assist clients and guests with special needs by providing personalized support, accommodations, and encouragement tailored to their physical, emotional, or cognitive requirements. Accompany clients to medical appointments, court dates, community programs, employment interviews, and social outings, providing supervision, advocacy, and emotional support as required.
