Job Description
Good Air is a dealer for Mitsubishi Electric, the top heat pump brand in the industry. For over 15 years, we’ve designed and installed custom heating, ventilation and air conditioning solutions for both residential and commercial customers across HRM. Good Air is one of the first Venmar AVS installers in Halifax, Nova Scotia. We are looking for 2 Sheet metal workers to join the company. Responsibilities: Design duct systems Manufacture and assemble in the factory the ducts for hot air heating, air conditioning and ventilation Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements Select equipment for residential and small commercial construction Measure and mark sheet metal according to template Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal Grind and buff seams, joints and rough surfaces Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specification Develop computerized pattern and layout Supervise other workers Cut materials using power tools or by hand Assemble, erect and install hoisting and rigging equipment Fit and join sheet metal parts Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes Lay out plate, sheet steel and other heavy metal and mark lines Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators or other metal workers Requirement: Minimum high school graduation; at least 3 years of relevant work experience; proficient in English or French.
