Salary: $40.87 per hour, 30-40 hours per week Nature of employment: Permanent and full-time (Morning, night, day, weekend) NOC code: 60020 Work location: 1151 10 Avenue, SW Suite 280, Salmon Arm, BC V1E 1T3 Start date: As soon as possible Languages: English Work setting: Retail business Benefits: Team building opportunities and parking available Job Duties: 1.Develop and implement both short-term and sustainable marketing strategies to promote store products, expand target audiences, and enhance overall profitability. 2.Oversee day-to-day store operations, including visual merchandising, operational compliance, handling customer inquiries, and ensuring smooth workflow across all departments. 3.Identify and source affordable, appealing, and seasonal merchandise that aligns with festival themes and customer preferences, ensuring consistent product variety and availability. 4.Stay current with market trends and conduct competitive analysis to evaluate rival product features, pricing strategies, and customer engagement approaches. 5.Build and oversee the execution of engaging promotional activities, including limited-time discounts and festival-themed campaigns, to boost sales. 6.Lead the planning and drafting of marketing materials, such as eye-catching flyers and in-store displays, ensuring all campaigns align with business objectives and brand vision. 7.Evaluate and manage sales data to identify customer preferences, forecast inventory needs, and implement strategies to maximize operational efficiency. 8.Establish, strengthen, and maintain long-term strategic partnerships with suppliers and vendors to ensure stable inventory, competitive pricing, and product quality. 9.Work closely with different departments to monitor budgets, control expenses, forecast sales revenue, and prepare reports to support strategic decision-making. 10. Address operational issues as they arise, including customer inquiries, service complaints, and supply or inventory shortages, ensuring minimal disruption to store performance. 11.Train, supervise, and mentor new employees and conduct performance reviews, ensuring they understand product features, job responsibilities, and the organization’s mission, fostering professionalism, enhancing team performance, and elevating customer satisfaction. Job requirements: 1.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. 2.Minimum of 4 years of experience in retail management or a comparable supervisory role. 3.Demonstrated success in team leadership, operational management, and developing effective sales strategies. 4.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions. 5. Strong knowledge of inventory management, merchandising, and supplier/vendor relationship management.
