Primeline Logistics Inc. is hiring a Safety Officer to lead health, safety, and compliance across our trucking and yard operations. The role implements policies, conducts inspections and investigations, delivers training, and advises leadership to drive a safe, compliant, and high-performance workplace. Work setting: Trucking company Responsibilities -Administer staff consultation and grievance procedures -Direct and control daily operations -Direct staff -Evaluate daily operations -Plan and organize daily operations -Train staff -Establish and implement policies and procedures -Inspect workplaces for safety or health hazards -Plan, develop and implement recruitment strategies -Investigate workplace accidents or illnesses- -Manage contracts -Oversee the preparation of reports -Advise senior management -Respond to employee questions and complaints -Recruit and hire staff -Conduct performance reviews -Evaluate work environments, programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury Supervision: Staff in various areas of responsibility Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses -First Aid Certificate -Occupational Health and Safety Certificate -Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate Experience and specialization -Computer and technology knowledge -MS Access -MS Outlook -MS Windows -MS Excel -MS Word -Tablet computer -Dispatch management service software Type of inspection and investigation -Workplace -Work related accidents Additional information -Security and safety: Criminal record check Work conditions and physical capabilities -Ability to work independently -Attention to detail Personal suitability -Excellent oral communication -Excellent written communication -Judgement -Organized -Accountability Who can apply for this job?
