In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You’ll play a vital part in supporting our clients and internal operations through precise bookkeeping, payroll processing, tax preparation, and financial reporting. Key Responsibilities o Maintain accurate financial records and manage a variety of accounts using both manual and digital bookkeeping tools. o Ensure accounts are properly balanced and up to date. o Record journal entries, reconcile discrepancies, and prepare trial balances. o Maintain general ledger accounts and compile financial statements for review. o Calculate and issue payments for employee payroll, utilities, taxes, and other operational expenses. o Complete and file required documents including tax remittances, workers’ compensation claims, pension contributions, and other regulatory forms. o Prepare individual tax returns and offer personal bookkeeping services as needed. o Generate various financial, statistical, and accounting reports to support business operations and decision-making. Skills & Knowledge: ? Technical Skills • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms). • Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and financial reporting. • Familiarity with payroll systems and government remittance procedures. ? Analytical & Organizational Skills • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry. • Ability to reconcile accounts and identify discrepancies. • Capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines. ? Communication & Collaboration • Clear written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Professionalism in client interactions and document handling. ? Regulatory Knowledge • Understanding of Canadian tax regulations and reporting requirements. • Experience with WSIB, CRA filings, and pension contribution forms. Requirements: Proficiency in English Education: College diploma in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or a related field.
