Wage:- 29.00 hourly / 40 to 50 hours per week Terms of employment- Permanent employment,Full time Evening, Morning, Day, Weekend Starting Date:- As soon as possible vacancies:- 1 vacancy Overview Languages English Education Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience Experience an asset Responsibilities Tasks Load and unload goods Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment Perform emergency roadside repairs Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle Receive and relay information to central dispatch Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo Credentials Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses Air Brake (Z) Endorsement Driver's License (Class 1 or A) Experience and specialization Documentation knowledge Driver logbook Transportation/travel experience Long-haul Additional information Security and safety Driving record check (abstract) Work conditions and physical capabilities Attention to detail Large workload Physically demanding Repetitive tasks Sitting Personal suitability Flexibility Judgement Organized Reliability Team player
