Company operating name: Seoul Gamasot Business address: #23, 12424 Symons Valley Rd NW, Calgary, AB T3P 0A3 Location of work: #23, 12424 Symons Valley Rd NW, Calgary, AB Title of position: Chef Positions available: 1 Job duties: - Supervise kitchen staff in their food preparation, handling, and safe food-handling requirements - Recruit and train kitchen staff to be capable of preparing a wide variety of dishes - Plan menus and innovate new dishes in Korean cuisine - Estimate and communicate food and labour costs for management, and requisition materials and supplies as necessary - Make recommendations for equipment, utensils, and other kitchen equipment needed to prepare meals, as well as plan maintenance and repair of this equipment - Prepare and cook food for customers, especially for special events and guests Terms of employment: permanent, full-time position; approximately 30-40 hours per week; day, evening, and weekend shifts Wage: $36.00hour How to apply: In-person: #23, 12424 Symons Valley Rd NW, Calgary, AB between 4pm and 8pm E-mail: hiring.seoulgamasot@gmail.com Education required: Completion of high school is required. Completion of two or three-year post-secondary program in commercial cooking may substitute for required work experience. Skills required: Knowledge and familiarity with Korean food dishes and their preparation is required for the position. Language requirements: Writing and speaking English language is required. Fluent communication in Korean would be an asset to the position, but is not required.
