Job Description

Holy Grill restaurant, located at 444 5th Avenue SW Suite 200, Calgary, AB, T2P 2T8 is seeking to hire three Cooks to join its staff. These positions are available to be filled immediately. Specific duties include: preparation of Western-style meals according to customer preference (breakfasts, paninis, burgers, etc.) supervision and coordination of kitchen helpers to deliver food in a fast and efficient manner keeping records of food, supplies, and equipment inventory and placing orders for items as necessary maintaining a clean and safe kitchen work environment assist with the training of new kitchen staff members plan menus and estimate food requirements for catering orders clean kitchen and work areas manage kitchen operations Specific Requirements of the Job include: Ability to work well in a fast paced environment, under time pressure Standing for long periods of time during their shift; meet the physical demands of typical restaurant work (lifting heavy loads, kitchen heat, working under time pressure) Be capable of interacting with customers in English Have good knowledge of Holy Grill menu offerings Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills and good oral communication with customers and fellow staff members Education and Experience Required: Secondary School Graduation Certificate required 1-2 years of previous experience as a Cook or Cook The selected candidate shall be required to provide a clean Criminal Record Check prior to commencement of work. Wage: $17.00/hour Hours: 30-44 hours/week (minimum 30 hours guaranteed) Benefits: Gratuities, staff meal provided during shift Holy Grill restaurant is an equal opportunity employer.
