Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate, trustworthy, and dependable Personal Care Aide to provide essential in-home care and daily living support to a senior individual. The successful candidate will assist with personal needs, promote autonomy, and help ensure the client’s comfort, dignity, and well-being in a respectful and professional manner. Key Responsibilities: • Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when required • Administer medications following prescribed instructions • Perform light housekeeping to maintain a safe, tidy, and hygienic living environment • Observe and monitor physical and emotional well-being; report changes as necessary • Offer emotional support and companionship • Coordinate with family members and healthcare professionals to optimize care • Accompany the senior to medical appointments, errands, or social outings as needed Qualifications & Requirements: • Completion of secondary school (high school diploma) or equivalent experience • Prior experience in personal care, elderly support, or a related caregiving role preferred • Understanding of home care routines and support in private residences or long-term care settings • Comfortable performing a wide range of caregiving duties independently • Knowledge of medication administration protocols is a plus • Valid CPR and First Aid Certification is an asset • Demonstrated patience, empathy, and the ability to build trust with the elderly • High level of integrity, reliability, and ability to maintain client confidentiality
