Balai in the Borough Restaurant is looking for a dedicated Restaurant Assistant Manager! Job details Locations: UNIT T115 805 BOYD St., New Westminster, BC, V3M 5X2; Surrey, BC, V3T 2W6 Work location: On site Salary: 36.60 hourly / 35 to 40 hours per week Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time Overtime Required Starts as soon as possible Vacancies: 2 vacancies Overview Languages: English Education: Bachelor's degree Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely. Work setting: The position may involve managing operations across two restaurant establishments. Asset languages: Filipino Responsibilities • Develop budget to determine cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen and cleaning supplies • Evaluate daily operations • Modify food preparation methods and menu prices according to the restaurant budget • Monitor staff performance • Plan and organize daily operations • Recruit staff • Set staff work schedules • Supervise staff • Train staff • Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms • Conduct performance reviews • Organize and maintain inventory • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies • Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities • Leading/instructing individuals • Address customers' complaints or concerns • Provide customer service • Manage events Experience and specialization Cuisine specialties: Filipino cuisine Additional information Work conditions and physical capabilities • Fast-paced environment • Work under pressure • Tight deadlines • Repetitive tasks • Handling heavy loads • Physically demanding • Combination of sitting, standing, walking • Standing for extended periods • Large workload Personal suitability • Client focus • Dependability • Efficient interpersonal skills • Flexibility • Organized • Reliability • Ability to multitask Who can apply for this job?
