Job Description

Cuty Vietnamese Kitchen, located at 5005 Dalhousie Dr NW suite 505 Calgary, AB T3A 5R8 is seeking to hire 2 permanent full-time Cooks to join its staff. These positions are available to be filled immediately. Specific duties include: preparation of traditional Vietnamese-style dishes (pho soups, vermicelli, rice rolls, grilled meats, noddles and more) supervision and coordination of kitchen helpers to deliver food in a fast and efficient manner overseeing kitchen operations to ensure highest quality of foods being prepared for our customers keeping records of food, supplies, and equipment inventory and placing orders for items as necessary maintaining a clean and safe kitchen work environment assist with the planning of menus and daily specials assist with the hiring and training of new kitchen staff members Specific Requirements of the Job include: ability to work well in a fast paced restaurant environment, under time pressure ability to present meals in an artistic and attractive manner standing for long periods of time during their shift; meet the physical demands of typical kitchen work (lifting heavy loads, kitchen heat, working under time pressure) be capable of interacting with staff and customers in English have good knowledge of Vietnamese culinary customs and Vietnamese foods communicating well with other staff to ensure that kitchen operations are efficient and effective be a good team player Education and Experience Required: Secondary School Graduation Certificate required 1-2 years of previous experience as a Cook; Vietnamese foods an asset The selected candidate must have their own mode of transportation to & from work (Public transportation is available), and shall be required to provide a clean Criminal Record Check prior to commencement of work.
