Senior Helpers is a private, in-home care organization servicing clients in their homes or retirement homes. Senior Helpers is looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Personal Support Worker (or equivalent) for a live-in caregiver role. If you enjoy working independently in a community home care setting, we want you! You will provide direct personal care & companionship to our clients to fulfill their physical, intellectual, emotional, and social needs. Responsibilities: - Remain in the client's home to provide direct care and support - Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming - Medication reminders as prescribed by healthcare professionals - Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel - Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding - Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients. - Provide emotional support and companionship - Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure the best possible care for the client. Qualifications: - Previous experience in nursing, caregiving, or a related field is preferred - Knowledge of dementia care, home care, and patient care practices - Ability to perform physical tasks such as cleaning and heavy lifting - Strong communication & documentation skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team - Comply with all policies and procedures regarding documentation, quality assurance, health and safety, and infection control - Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with individuals who may have physical or cognitive limitations - MUST be living within the city of Toronto and able to easily travel Downtown, midtown, to East York, Scarborough, and Southern portions of North York and Etobicoke We would like to thank all applicants.
