Tasks: - Assist our site supervisors and trades by handling, loading, and unloading construction materials and tools at residential and commercial project sites. - Prepare job sites for renovation by performing demolition work, removing debris, and ensuring clean and safe work areas. - Support carpenters and finishers with framing, drywall installation, flooring, and cabinetry work across kitchen, bathroom, and tenant improvement projects. - Operate hand and basic power tools (saws, drills, mixers, compactors) under supervision to complete daily construction tasks. - Mix, pour, and spread concrete and mortar for small foundations, pads, and repair work. - Set up and dismantle temporary site structures such as scaffolds, safety barriers, and ramps as required. - Assist in exterior work including deck building, siding repairs, and landscaping preparations for renovation projects. - Follow company safety procedures at all times, wear PPE, and attend daily toolbox meetings in compliance with WorkSafe BC standards. - Transport materials between our storage yard and active job sites using company vehicles when required. - Provide general labour support to ensure projects remain on schedule, on budget, and meet Gur Construction Ltd.’s quality standards.
