Company Operating Name: KERN BSG Management Business Address: D-3889 Keith St, Burnaby, BC, V5J 5K4 Title of the Position: Plumber apprentice Number of Positions Available: 1 Job Duties: -Read blueprints and drawings to understand or plan the layout of plumbing, waste disposal and water supply systems -Cut, assemble and install pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure -Install and maintain water supply systems -Work directly with journeyman plumbers to complete projects -Assist senior staff in complicated tasks Skill Requirements (includes required education, certification, and work experience): -Minimum of two years of relevant experience -Experience handling plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, plungers, etc.) -Willingness to register and go through apprenticeship training Personal suitability: -Be able to work independently when needed Work conditions and physical capabilities: -Bending, crouching, kneeling -Physically demanding -Handling heavy loads Work schedule: -Be able to work evenings and weekends Terms of Employment: This is a permanent and full-time position, 40 hours of work per week Language of Work: Workplace English Wage: $30.28/hour Vacation: 2 weeks (10 business days) Benefits: RRSP contribution, Sick days, Health, Dental and Vision, Annual Tool Allowance. Contingent Wages: Overtime averages about 2-4 hours a week. Overtime: 1.5 times the regular rate up to 48 hours a week, double time after that.
