Job Description The Home Child Care Provider will be responsible for providing attentive and nurturing care to children within a private household. The successful candidate will ensure the children's safety and well-being while supporting their emotional, physical, and educational development. The role also includes light housekeeping and related household responsibilities. Main Duties: Provide supervision and care for children in the absence of parents Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home Assist children with personal hygiene routines and social development Support children with schoolwork and educational activities Organize age-appropriate games, recreational outings, and activities Tend to the emotional well-being and daily needs of the children Accompany children to and from school, appointments, or extracurricular activities Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties Shop for groceries and household supplies as needed Job Requirements Education: Completion of secondary school (high school diploma) Experience: relevant experience in child care or a related field is an asset Language: Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and understanding) Security Clearance: Must pass a Criminal Record Check Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail Ability to lift and handle weights up to 9 kg (20 lbs) Overtime may be required
