WANTED: Child caregiver - private home Location: Villanueva family, Grande Prairie, AB T8X 0H7 Salary: 20.00 hourly / 40 hours per Week Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time; may work morning, early morning, evening, at night, weekends, holidays, shifts and may be on call; overtime may be required Start date: as soon as possible Vacancy: 1 Languages: English Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience Experience: 1 to less than 7 months Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely. Work site environment: Non-smoking Work setting: Employer's home Tasks: • Change diapers • Follow parents’ lead with toilet training • Sterilize bottles and prepare formulas • Assume full responsibility for household in the absence of parents • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties • Shop for food and household supplies • Travel with family on trips and assist with children supervision and housekeeping duties • Bathe, dress and feed infants and children • Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development • Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home • Organize activities such as games and outings for children • Prepare and serve nutritious meals • Prepare infants and children for rest periods • Supervise and care for children • Take children to and from school and to appointments • Tend to the emotional well-being of children • Help children with homework Credentials: CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate Target audience: supervise and care for two young children and an infant Security and safety: Basic security clearance Transportation/travel information: Public transportation is available Work conditions and physical capabilities: • Overtime required • Physically demanding • Repetitive tasks • Work under pressure • Attention to detail Weight handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs) Personal suitability: • Client focus • Efficient interpersonal skills • Excellent oral communication • Flexibility • Initiative • Judgement • Organized • Reliability • Time management • Patience • Honesty Who can apply for this job?
