Job Description

Location: 7453 Cambie St Vancouver, BC V6P 0J7 Salary: $37.00 per hour Vacancy: 1 Start date: As soon as possible Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time 40 hours per week Employment groups: Indigenous people, Newcomers to Canada, Veterans, Visible minorities, Youth Employment conditions: Day, Evening, Morning Job requirement: Languages: English Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years Tasks: - Verify accuracy of prescription information including patient details, dosage instructions, and drug interactions before processing. - Enter and update client data into the pharmacy management system, ensuring records are accurate, secure, and compliant with privacy regulations. - Assist the pharmacist in preparing, counting, labeling, and packaging prescribed medications for distribution. - Maintain inventory of medications and supplies, ensuring appropriate stock levels are available and coordinating timely reorders when necessary. - Organize and manage prescription records and ensure proper filing and documentation in accordance with regulatory standards. - Schedule and confirm patient appointments, particularly for medication reviews, refills, and related care coordination. - Respond to patient inquiries regarding basic medication use, refill timelines, and general clinic procedures within authorized limits. - Prepare and maintain supply kits used by naturopathic doctors and physiotherapists for pain management and recovery treatments. - Support interdisciplinary communication by ensuring timely sharing of medication updates with clinic practitioners (e.g., physiotherapists, naturopaths). - Perform regular audits and checks on medication expiry dates, stock rotation, and storage conditions to ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines. - Follow strict confidentiality protocols when handling patient health records, prescriptions, and billing information. - Assist with the integration of pharmaceutical care into the clinic’s broader wellness offerings, enhancing continuity of care for patients.
