Location: 1789 Harvey Avenue suite 214Kelowna, BC V1Y 6G4 Salary: $37.00 per hour Vacancy: 1 Start date: As soon as possible Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time 40 hours per week Employment groups: persons with disabilities, newcomers and refugees, youths, Veterans, Indigenous people, mature workers, visible minorities Employment conditions: Day, Evening, Morning Job requirement: Languages: English Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years Tasks: - To keep accurate records of all financial transactions related to Pacific Coast Roofing & Contracting Ltd.’s operations. This includes recording invoices, receipts, expenses, and payments. - Manage the company's accounts payable, which involves processing invoices and payments to suppliers and vendors. - Manage the company's accounts receivable, which involves sending invoices to clients and customers and processing payments. - Manage the company's payroll, which involves calculating employee wages and processing payments. - Reconcile the company's bank statements with its financial records to ensure that all transactions are recorded accurately. - Prepare financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to help the company understand its financial position and make informed decisions. - Assist with tax preparation, including calculating and filing payroll taxes and preparing financial statements for tax purposes. - Prepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports on an ad hoc basis for the management. - Assist in preparing and managing the company’s budget, monitoring expenses, and identifying areas for cost savings. - Assist in preparation of Workers’ Compensation and General Liability audits; maintain weekly and quarterly transactions and recordkeeping of payroll tax liabilities. - Oversee all day-to-day bookkeeping responsibilities at the company’s Kelowna office. - Check and verify source documents such as invoices, receipts, and other information.
