Quicklink Trucking Ltd. is looking for Dump Truck Drivers (NOC-73300). The drivers will be operating combination units of Truck-transfers-trailer, Truck pony-trailer and Tandem trucks. The combination of the unit depends on the job, contract, material, and location etc. We mainly transport aggregated material including topsoil, gravel, soil, sand etc. Quicklink Trucking Ltd. is in the business from over five years and 95% of our contracts/jobs are in the lower mainland (Fraser Valley area) which means no overnight work. In addition, most of our jobs are Monday to Friday form 6am to 5pm. Job will be full time (35-40 hours per week). An overtime may be required Pay rate: $36.65-37.00 per hour (depends on the unit driven), Vacation pay, medical insurance until enrolled in BC’s Medical Service Plan and if applicable, relocation cost will be covered by the employer. Job duties are listed below: • Operate and drive primarily truck transfer-trailer, truck pony-trailer or tandam truck to transfer aggregated material to and from the designated location • Drivers will be responsible looking after their truck units by conducting pre-trip and post trip inspections including interior and exterior body parts and accessories such as tires, lights, and brakes • Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements, weigh scale regulations, and follow safety procedures for transporting material and its weight • Obtain required documentation form the dispatch officer for pick-up and drop-off loads and received required documentation form the vender • Maintain adequate record of logbook information including hours of operation, distance travelled and fuel consumption • Communicate with dispatcher, other drivers and customers using communication devices • May perform emergency roadside repairs and notify the office when there is any issues Language: English Preference will be given to Canadian PR or Citizens Job Vacancies: 2 Job Start date: As soon as possible Employment requirements • Completion of secondary school may be required. • A Class 1 licence is required to drive combination vehicles • Air brake endorsement is required One to two years of work experience is recommended but not mandatory (on the job paid training will be provided) and demonstrated ability to perform work is usually required Contact: Jas, Contact:604-832-3898 Email: trucking.quicklink@gmail.com (Preferred method of contact)
