Industrial Plant Cleaning and Maintenance Supervisor (NOC-62024) IBMD INC. is looking for Plant Cleaner and Maintenance Supervisor to start by March 2025. We at IBMD provide a top-quality softwood products and a finest quality lumber products for retail/wholesale for local lumber yards, industrial markets and wholesalers throughout BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and the United States. The supervisor will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the whole plant (2.47 acres) including an approximately 200 sq. ft office space, 7000 sq. ft. main warehouse and another 7000 sq. ft. of dry storage space. In addition, cleaning and maintenance supervisor will be coordinating and supervising the third-party contractors coming in for other maintenance and repairs. IBMD provides competitive wages, benefits, and safe environment to our workers. The employment is full-time (30-35 hours per week) and it will be a two/three-year contract-based job. If moving from another province or country, medical insurance will be provided until covered by the province of British Columbia. Below are the main duties of this employment: • Supervise and coordinate the work of other cleaners or labour workers who perform regular cleaning duties. • May hire other contractors to perform big budget cleanings or repairs, prepare budget, estimate costs, negotiate prices and keep financial records • Order and maintain cleaning supplies and label cleaning supplies according to the industrial standard • Make sure the work areas are cleaned, and sanitized by the end of the day and is ready for other workers and tradesmen for the next day. • Inspect the plant, office, parking, shipping and receiving and the warehouse areas to ensure established safety and cleanliness standards are met • Recommend or arrange for additional services required such as painting, repair work, renovations and coordinate with other contractors at the facility. • Supervise, train, schedule and hire other cleaning staff and may perform other cleaning duties • Prepare work schedule and coordinate activities with those of other departments Company Name: Independent Building Material Distribution Inc.
