Job Description

Location: 13798 94A Avenue suite 300 Surrey, BC V3V 1N1 Salary: $29.00 per hour Vacancy: 2 Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time 40 hours per week Employment groups: Indigenous people, Newcomers to Canada, Veterans, Visible minorities, Youth Start date: Starts as soon as possible Employment conditions: Day, Evening, Morning Job requirements: Languages: English Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely. Tasks: - Assisting midwives in preparing examination rooms by setting up necessary equipment and ensuring the room is clean, organized, and ready for each patient. - Monitoring patient vital signs, such as blood pressure and heart rate, and recording essential health information under the guidance of the midwifery team. - Providing compassionate support to expecting mothers, including helping them with mobility, addressing any immediate needs, and offering reassurance and comfort during visits. - Assisting in basic clinical tasks, such as changing dressings and preparing patients for exams, in line with the directions provided by the midwifery team. - Maintaining a clean and sanitized clinic environment by following sanitation protocols, sterilizing equipment, and ensuring all tools and supplies are organized and readily available. - Managing patient records and documentation, ensuring that all information is accurately logged, updated, and filed according to clinic standards and confidentiality guidelines. - Supporting patient education by sharing information on post-natal care, general health practices, and wellness routines as directed by the midwifery team. - Coordinating with midwives to maintain smooth patient flow, minimizing wait times and enhancing the overall patient experience. - Assisting with administrative tasks, such as inventory management, ordering supplies, and restocking essential items, to support efficient clinic operations. - Preparing and setting up equipment and supplies for minor procedures, ensuring that all necessary items are on hand and ready for use. - Observing patients for any signs of distress or discomfort during appointments and promptly reporting these to the midwifery team. - Aiding in scheduling and confirming patient appointments, helping manage patient flow and clinic scheduling effectively.
