Job Description

Plan menus and estimate food requirements, considering dietary needs and preferences. Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes, ensuring quality and presentation. Accommodate customers with food allergies or intolerances by preparing suitable dishes. Cook special meals for patients under the guidance of a dietitian or chef. Determine portion sizes, estimate food requirements and costs, and manage supplies for menu planning. Conduct inspections of kitchens and food service areas to maintain cleanliness and compliance. Provide training to staff on food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety. Supervise kitchen staff and assistants to maintain efficiency and quality standards. Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and work areas to uphold hygiene standards. Coordinate buffets and banquets to ensure seamless execution of events.
