Work site environment • Outdoors • Wet/damp Work setting • Urban area • Rural area • Various locations • Construction company Responsibilities Tasks • Prepare all data and documents related to surveys of real property boundaries • Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements • Supervise other land surveyors and/or field crews • Supervise the preparation and compilation of all data and documents related to surveys of real property boundaries • Plan, direct and supervise or conduct surveys to establish legal boundaries of properties • Record all measurements and other information obtained during survey activities • Analyze, manage and display data using geographic information systems and computer-aided design and drafting • Determine precise locations using electronic distance measuring equipment Experience and specialization Field skills experience • Operate survey equipment • Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment Additional information Transportation/travel information • Valid driver's licence Work conditions and physical capabilities • Fast-paced environment • Attention to detail • Standing for extended periods • Walking Personal suitability • Excellent oral communication • Excellent written communication • Organized Who can apply to this job?
